Digital marketing expert Kyle Lorber recently offered five helpful tips for boosting your social media marketing.
Online usage has drastically increased since the coronavirus pandemic first took hold in spring 2020. This increase has been even more drastic in the United States. Marketing experts explain that this major uptick in online usage has made social media marketing more important than ever before. Digital marketing expert Kyle Lorber recently offered his most helpful tips for boosting your social media marketing campaigns.
“More than 4 billion people around the world are currently using social media,” Kyle Lorber said. “No other form of advertising can reach an audience as wide as that reached online, especially with so many people spending more time at home during this pandemic.”
Kyle Lorber stated that one of the most important steps to boosting social media marketing is to choose the best social media channel for your product. Facebook has the highest number of monthly active users followed by instagram and LinkedIn. Some social media platforms, like TikTok and Snapchat, appeal to younger audiences, while Facebook reaches an older and generally more broad demographic.
“These digital times have shortened the attention spans of everyday consumers,” Kyle Lorber said. “They’re not reading as much, and they are most easily engaged by short, precise videos.”
Research has shown that 80 percent of consumers prefer viewing live videos from brands rather than reading blog posts. Similarly, Lorber stated that brands can benefit form using content created by users. Shoppers often trust other shoppers more than they trust the brand itself. User-generated content allows the consumer to receive feedback from other customers just like them.
“It’s important to choose marketing content that is social media-friendly,” Kyle Lorber said. “This can be difficult for some companies to grasp at first, but social-friendly images can greatly increase the number of people who see your advertisement. A unique image, infographic, or original graphic is more likely to catch eyes than a stock photo.”
Lorber finished by stating that advertisers can benefit from posting ads on Instagram. This social media platform currently has more than 700 million users. This audience is extremely large and diverse.
Instagram currently has a higher engagement rate than Twitter and Facebook, which means it’s one of the best places to see more return for your advertising dollar. Posting visually stimulating ads on Instagram and directing them toward the right audience is one of Lorber’s top pieces of advice for businesses entering into social media advertising.
“If you’re not already advertising on social media, today is the day to begin,” Lorber said. “The immediate future of marketing is clearly in social media and other online outlets, and you’ll see clear improvements if you commit to this route.”
